Killelagh Parish Church is located in Swatragh, Co. Londonderry off the Main Street of Swatragh (A29) just after the bridge. According to my mother, the land for this church building was donated by the McGilligan family.

Glendermott Parish Church is located between Drumahoe, Co. Londonderry and the Waterside area of Londonderry. Nearby roads are the Glenshane Road (A6) and Church Brae.

Aghadowey Presbyterian Church is located in Aghadowey, Co. Londonderry. Gilmour Barr Elder (-1892) is buried in the graveyard behind the church building.

St. Mura’s Parish Church is located in Fahan, Co. Donegal. The church is within the Church of Ireland Diocese of Derry & Raphoe in the Parish of Fahan Upper. David Andrew Elder (-1984) is buried in the graveyard behind the church building.

Inch Presbyterian Church is located near the center of Inch Island, Co. Donegal. The small structure has only a few graves close to the church building. Further down the road, there is a Masonic Hall and a Roman Catholic Chapel.

The Second Kilrea Prebyterian Church is located in Kilrea, Co. Londonderry. While researching my mother’s McGilligan line I came across a gravestone of a Robert Elder.

The Church of Ireland St. Paul’s Church is located in Garvagh, Co. Londonderry in the parish of Errigal & Desertoghill. My uncle Jack McGilligan was christened and confirmed at St. Paul’s. According to my mother, most of the older children were christened at St. Paul’s. This is not yet confirmed.

Glendermott Presbyterian Church near Drumahoe, Co. Londonderry. According to exterior wall plaques, the Presbyterian congregation was established back in 1654 and the church building was complete in 1696. The church extension was completed in 1938 by building contractor S. Stewart and architect W. I. Lynch.
The Elder family from Killymallaght is linked to the Glendermott Presbyterian Church.

Faughan Vale Presbyterian Church near Eglinton, Co. Londonderry. My grand-mother Mary Lavina Walker attended this Church before she married. David John Walker, Mary Lavina Riddles, Thomas Stewart Elder and Mary Lavina Walker are buried at Faughan Vale (See Thomas Stewart Elder & Mary Lavina Walker). Thomas Stewart Elder and Mary Lavina Walker were also married at Faughan Vale.
